About Fred Marshall

Fred Marshall graduated with honors from Pratt Institute. He began working as an illustrator for major publications, advertising agencies and corporations while still in college. While working as a commercial artist, Fred studied Fine Art at the Art Students League and The New York Academy of Art. He is currently a member of Aaron Shikler and David Levine’s Painting Group. His work has been shown in the Cooper Hewitt Museum and The American Institute of Graphic Arts. His portrait of Sandra Day O’Connor is in the permanent collection of the Smithsonian Institution’s National Portrait Gallery in Washington D.C. Currently concentrating on portrait painting, Fred has painted more than one hundred portraits for prominent families in the United States, England and Japan.

Fred also enjoys painting landscapes of the New Jersey countryside where he resides with his wife who is a child psychiatrist and their three children. He holds private classes in his studio.
